Welcome to the submission site for the 2026 Blavatnik Awards for Young Scientists in Israel. The nomination period is open from July 15, 2025 through August 26, 2025. 

The Blavatnik Family Foundation and the New York Academy of Sciences in collaboration with the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities are delighted to embark on the eighth year of the Blavatnik Awards for Young Scientists in Israel. These awards celebrate the past accomplishments and future potential of young faculty researchers working in three disciplinary categories of science and engineering: Life Sciences, Physical Sciences & Engineering, and Chemical Sciences. Every year, one nominee in each category will be named a Blavatnik Awards in Israel Laureate and awarded US$100,000 in unrestricted funds.

Institutional nominations must be submitted by the institution’s leadership (President, Vice President, Rector) or their official designee (official designees must notify BlavatnikAwardsIsrael@nyas.org of the delegation of responsibilities). Each institution may nominate up to nine individuals, three for each disciplinary category (Life Sciences, Physical Sciences & Engineering, and Chemical Sciences). The Blavatnik Awards for Young Scientists in Israel welcomes nominations from all underrepresented groups in science and engineering.
